The Incident of Allaamah Samhoodi (rahimahullah) Recovering the Lost Key
Written by user2Allaamah Samhoodi (rahimahullah) is an illustrious aalim of the 10th century who resided in the blessed city of Madinah Munawwarah. He mentions the following incident. He says:
On one occasion, I was in Musjid-e-Nabawi when the Egyptian haajis were arriving. At that time, I had in my hand the key to the private room in Musjid-e-Nabawi in which I would keep my kitaabs. One of the Egyptian Ulama, who was also learning under one of my Ustaads, passed by so I greeted him with salaam. On meeting me, he requested me to walk with him to the Rawdhah Mubaarak and stand with him before Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) while he conveyed his salaam. I acceded to his request and thus accompanied him to make salaam.
Being Blessed with Milk from Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)

On one occasion, I was in the blessed city of Madinah Munawwarah. While in Madinah Munawwarah, I went to the musjid of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). I stood at a place near the mihraab. (This was the place where the home of Hazrat Faatimah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) used to be, next to the home of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), during the time of Rasulullah (sallallahu‘alaihiwasallam), and was thereafter included in the musjid.) At that time, a noble man named Mukthir Al-Qaasimi was also behind the same mihraab.
Allah Ta‘ala Protecting the Bodies of Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma)

I was residing in Madinah Munawwarah, and at that time, the supervisor of the workers of the Haram Shareef was Shamsuddeen Sawaab. Shamsuddeen Sawaab was a pious man who would display great kindness and compassion to the poor and destitute. I was quite familiar and well acquainted with him, so one day, he said to me, “Let me tell you a strange incident.” He then narrated the following incident. Shamsudden Sawaab said:
I had a companion who would regularly sit with the governor. Whenever I requested any favor from the governor, I would acquire it through him. One day, this friend came to me and said, “Something very grave transpired today.” I asked him, “What happened?” He replied, “A group of people (Shiahs) from the city of Aleppo came to the governor. They gave him abundant gifts (as a bribe) on condition that he grant them permission to open the Rowdhah Mubaarak and remove the bodies of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) from the Rowdhah Mubaarak. The governor accepted their bribes and gave them permission to do so.”
Abdus Salaam bin Abil Qaasim Saqali (rahimahullah) says that a certain person narrated to him his personal experience saying:
Once, I was in the blessed city of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), and since I did not have anything to eat, my body became very weak. Finally, I went to the Rowdhah Mubaarak and said, “O the Master of all the people who came before you and those who will come after you! I am a man from Egypt who has been residing close to you for five months. I am now very weak due to hunger. I beg Allah Ta‘ala in du‘aa, and I ask you, O Rasul of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), to please arrange someone for me who will either feed me, or assist me to travel back to my home.”
Ibnul Jalaa (rahimahullah) mentions the following:
On one occasion, I entered the blessed city of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). At that time, I was undergoing severe hunger. In that state, I proceeded to the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). After conveying my salaam, I addressed Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and said, “O Rasul of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! I am your guest!” I thereafter fell asleep.
The Incident of Abdus Salaam bin Abdir Rahmaan Husaini (rahimahullah)
Written by user2Abu Muhammed, Abdus Salaam bin Abdir Rahmaan Husaini (rahimahullah), who was a Sayyid (a descendent of Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)), once mentioned the following incident:
On one occasion, I was in the blessed city of Madinah Munawwarah, and a period of three days passed in which I had nothing to eat. Eventually, I went to the mimbar of Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and performed two rakaats of nafl salaah. Thereafter, I addressed Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and said, “O my grandfather (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! I am experiencing hunger, and I express my desire before you to eat thareed (a dish comprising of pieces of bread, gravy and meat).”
Sayyid Ahmed Rifaa’ee (rahimahullah) at the Rowdhah Mubaarak
Written by user2Sayyid Ahmed Rifaa’ee (rahimahullah) is well known as one of the greatest saints of Islam. He passed away in the year 578 AH.
In the year 555 AH, Sayyid Ahmed Rifaa’ee (rahimahullah) was blessed to go to Makkah Mukarramah to perform haj. After completing his haj, he visited the blessed city of Madinah Munawwarah to visit the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). While standing before the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), he recited the following couplets:
في حالة البعد روحي كنت أرسلها تقبل الأرض عني وهي نائبتي
وهذه دولة الأشباح قد حضرت فامدد يمينك كي تحظى بها شفتي
When I was far away, I would send my soul to you as my representative, kissing the ground (at the Rowdhah Mubaarak) on my behalf
Now the time has come for me to physically present myself with my body, so (now that I have come in person,) please extend your blessed hand so that my lips may acquire the honor of kissing it
As he recited these couplets, the blessed hand of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) extended from the Rowdhah Mubaarak, and Sayyid Ahmed Rifaa’ee (rahimahullah) then kissed it. This event occurred in the presence of approximately ninety-thousand people who witnessed it.

Cured through the Blessings of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)
Written by user2Faqeeh Abu Muhammed Ishbeeli (rahimahullah) has recorded the following incident in his kitaab on the virtues of haj:
Once, a man from the city of Granada became so ill that the doctors were unable to treat him and gave up hope of his recovery. At that time, the governor, Abu ‘Abdillah, Muhammed bin Abil Khisaal, wrote a letter addressed to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) which he gave to the Haajis to be read at the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). In the letter, the governor also included some verses of poetry.
The Incident of Sufi Abu ‘Abdillah Muhammed bin Abi Zar’ah (rahimahullah)

I once traveled to Makkah Mukarramah with my father and with Abu ‘Abdillah Khafif (rahimahullah). While in the Holy City, we suffered great hunger. Thereafter, in that poor condition, we traveled to Madinah Munawwarah. We slept without any food, on empty stomachs.
The Incident of Sayyid Abu Muhammed Abdus Salaam Husaini (rahimahullah)

Once, for three days, I could not find anything to eat in Madinah Munawwarah. I went close to the mimbar to perform two rakaats of salaah. Thereafter, I turned to the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and said, “O my grandfather (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! I am hungry and my heart desires to eat thareed (a type of Arab dish).” Saying this, I went to sleep.

The Incident of Hazrat Abul Khair Al-Aqta (rahimahullah)

Once, on a visit to Madinah Munawwarah, I suffered such hunger that for five days, I had absolutely nothing to eat. I went to the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), and after making salaam to him and his two companions, Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma), I said to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), “O Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! It is my wish to be your guest tonight!
Hazrat Haatim Asamm Balkhi (rahimahullah) was a pious saint who secluded himself in a room for thirty years (i.e he only left the room to perform salaah in the musjid and fulfil other deeni obligations). He did not speak to anyone except when it was absolutely necessary.
When he visited the holy grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) in Madinah Munawwarah, he said, “O Allah! We have come to the grave of Your beloved (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! Do not send us away from here without being forgiven!”
The Incident of Hazrat Muhammed bin Munkadir (rahimahullah)

Once, a man left eighty gold coins in trust with my father before leaving for jihaad. Before leaving, the man said to my father, “If you have a need to use this money then you may do so. I will reclaim the amount from you when I return.” Thereafter, Madinah Munawwarah experienced great difficulty due to which my father spent the entire amount on the people.
In Makkah Mukarramah, there once lived a man named Ibnu Thaabit (rahimahullah). He used to perform haj every year, and thereafter used to travel to Madinah Munawwarah to present salaam at the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). He did this for seventy years consecutively.
Once, it so happened that for some reason, he could not go to Madinah Munawwarah to visit the grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). While remaining at home, seated in his room, he was overcome by sleep. While asleep, he saw Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) saying to him in a dream, “O Ibnu Thaabit! This year, you did not come to meet me. For this reason, I have now come to meet you.”
