Beliefs Regarding Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) – Part Three
Written by user25. Allah Ta‘ala blessed Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) with many special favours which other Ambiyaa and Rasuls (‘alaihimus salaam) were not granted. Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:
“I was blessed with six favours that were not given to the other Ambiyaa (‘alaihimus salaam); I was blessed with jawaami’ul kalim (comprehensive speech i.e. the Quraan Majeed and Mubaarak Ahaadith through which great meanings are contained in few words), I was divinely assisted with unusual awe entering the hearts of the kuffaar for me, even though I am a distance of a month’s journey away, the spoils of war were made permissible for me, the entire earth was made a place of performing salaah for me and the entire earth was made a source of purification (i.e. tayammum in the absence of water) for me, I was deputed as a messenger to the entire creation (man and jinn), and I was made the seal of all the prophets.” [1]

As far as Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) is concerned, he was divinely sent to all of mankind and all jinn until the Day of Qiyaamah. Hence, he is the prophet for all people and all times until the Day of Qiyaamah, and his Deen will never be abrogated. [1]

2. The Deen of Islam, which Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) brought, abrogated all the previous divine religions. Hence, it is only the Deen of Islam that will be accepted by Allah Ta‘ala. [2]

Written by user27. Nothing can transpire or occur in the creation without the permission of Allah Ta‘ala. Without His permission, not even an atom can move. [1]

The Manner in which Allah Ta‘ala Deals with the Creation – Part Two
Written by user24. Allah Ta‘ala is the possessor of absolute honour and greatness. Allah Ta‘ala has complete power over everything, and nothing can influence His power and decision. He bestows honour to whomsoever He wishes, and causes disgrace to whomsoever He wishes. Allah Ta‘ala does whatever He wishes and is not answerable to any of the creation. [1]
5. Allah Ta‘ala is the sole sustainer and provider of every creation. He decreases the sustenance of whomsoever He wishes, and increases the sustenance of whomsoever He wishes. [2]
6. Every decision of Allah Ta‘ala contains wisdom, even though man may not be able to understand and comprehend the wisdom behind the decision of Allah Ta‘ala. Hence, man should be pleased with the decision of Allah Ta‘ala at all times. [3]

2. Allah Ta‘ala is completely just. He does not oppress any creation to the extent of even an atom. [2]
3. Allah Ta‘ala has given man an understanding and the ability to choose between good and evil. Allah Ta‘ala becomes pleased with those believers who carry out good deeds for His pleasure, and becomes displeased with those who commit sins. [3]
Beliefs regarding the Being and Attributes of Allah Ta‘ala – Part Three
Written by user29. Allah Ta‘ala is free of all blemishes, weaknesses, limitations and defects. He is absolutely perfect in all His qualities. Allah Ta‘ala is free from the qualities of the creation. [1]
10. All the qualities of Allah Ta‘ala are with Him from eternity and will remain with Him for eternity. [2]
11. Whenever the Quraan Majeed or Hadith mentions any quality of Allah Ta‘ala which the creation possesses e.g. Allah Ta‘ala hearing, seeing, becoming pleased, or Allah Ta‘ala creating Hazrat Aadam (‘alaihis salaam) with His hand, etc. then all these qualities will be understood in accordance with the majesty of Allah Ta‘ala, and will not be resembled to the qualities of the creation in any way. [3]
12. Allah Ta‘ala does not sleep nor does drowsiness overtake Him. Allah Ta‘ala does not eat, drink or require any form of sustenance, as is the condition of the creation. He never becomes tired of maintaining and sustaining the entire universe. [4]
13. Allah Ta‘ala is recognized through His signs in His creation. No person can see Allah Ta‘ala in this world nor comprehend the full might, power and knowledge of Allah Ta‘ala. [5]

6. There is nothing that resembles Allah Ta‘ala in His being and attributes. He is completely unique in his zaat (being) and sifaat (attributes), and there is nothing that can equal or be compared to Allah Ta‘ala. Hence, Allah Ta‘ala does not have a colour, shape or a form, as is the condition of the creation. [2]

3. Allah Ta‘ala does not have any partner, wife or family. He has not begotten anyone (i.e. no child was born to Him), nor was He begotten (i.e. He was not born to any father). [3]
4. Allah Ta‘ala is not dependent on any of the creation, and the entire creation, at every moment, is entirely dependent on Him alone for their existence, continuity and all their needs. [4]
The Deen of Islam, with all its pillars, rests on the foundation of faith and correct beliefs. If the beliefs of a person are incorrect, but will not cause him to come out from the fold of Islam, then even though he may strive to carry out pious and righteous deeds, he will not receive the promised rewards, as his beliefs, which are the basis of his deeds, are incorrect.
If the beliefs of a person are such that they contradict the fundamental beliefs of Islam (the fundamental beliefs which are required for one to be a Muslim), then even though he outwardly appears to be a believer and carries out the rituals of Islam with the Muslims, since he does not subscribe to the fundamental beliefs of Islam, he will not receive any reward for his good deeds on account of him not being a believer.

The Respect of the Sahaabah for the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat
Written by user2The Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat (the respected wives of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)) were from among the Ahl-e-Bayt of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). In the Qur’aan Majeed, Allah Ta‘ala had referred to them as the ‘Mothers of the Believers’ and the Ahl-e-Bayt of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). The Saahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) held them in the highest esteem and showed them the highest level of respect and honor. Below is an incident which demonstrates the true honor which the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) showed the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat.
Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) Preferring the Ahl-e-Bayt Over the Other Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum)
Written by user2The wealth of the Bayt-ul-Maal during the period of the Khilaafah of Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) was distributed among the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) in accordance to their relationship with Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). Hazrat Umar’s (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) love for Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and the Ahl-e-Bayt could be gauged through his decision of preferring the family of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) over all the other Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum), on account of their close relationship with Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam).
The Love of Hazrat Zainul ‘Aabideen (rahimahullah) for Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu)
Written by user2Muhammed bin ‘Ali (rahimahullah) narrates the following incident that transpired between his father and a person who bore enmity for Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu). He says:
A person once came to my father, ‘Ali bin Husain (rahimahullah), who was famously known as Zainul ‘Aabideen (rahimahullah), and said, “Tell me about Abu Bakr.”
Zainul ‘Aabideen (rahimahullah) replied, “Are you asking me regarding Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddeeq (radhiyallahu ‘anhu)?”When the man heard Zainul ‘Aabideen (rahimahullah) show respect and honor to Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) by referring to him with the title ‘Siddeeq’, the man asked, “Are you calling him ‘Siddeeq’? I don’t regard him to be Siddeeq.”
Affording the Greatest Respect to the Family of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)
Written by user2The incident below highlights the highest level of respect which Hazrat ‘Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) would show to the blessed family of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam):
During the period of his khilaafah, Hazrat ‘Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) made mashura with the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu ‘anhum) and consulted them, asking them how the wealth of the Bayt-ul-Maal should be distributed among the Muslims.
Hazrat ‘Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) suggested, “Every year, you should distribute all the money of the Bayt-ul-Maal to the Muslims and you should not retain any wealth in the Bayt-ul-Maal.”
Hazrat ‘Uthmaan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) suggested, “I see that there is abundant wealth in the Bayt-ul-Maal which is sufficient for all the people. However, if a record is not kept of those who have been given wealth and those who have not been given any wealth, I fear that there will be confusion and matters will get out of hand.”
