When Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) returned home, he informed Hazrat Khadijah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) of what transpired. He also mentioned that he feared losing his life. Hazrat Khadijah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) consoled him saying, “Glad tidings to you! Do not fear! By Allah! He will never disgrace you. You maintain family ties, and your efforts to maintain family ties are absolutely definite. You always speak the truth. You bear the burdens of others (you shoulder the debts of others). You look after those who are poor. You are trustworthy and always return whatever has been entrusted to you. You always fulfill the rights of the guests. You can be trusted and always assist in good works.”

Hazrat Khadijah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) also added, “You have never been close to an immoral woman.”

In essence, a person with such excellent and praiseworthy qualities, a person of such purity, a man who has such character and is an embodiment of virtue and inner and outer perfection can never be subjected to any form of humiliation. He cannot be put to shame, neither in this world nor the hereafter. Whosoever Allah Ta‘ala blesses, out of His mercy, with such virtues and excellent qualities, Allah Ta‘ala will shield him from all calamities and misfortune as well.

Hazrat Khadijah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) consoled him saying, “By Allah in whose absolute control lies the life of Khadijah (radhiyallahu ‘anha)! I have firm hope that you will be the messenger of this Ummah.”
