يحكى أن أبا العباس أحمد بن منصور لما مات رآه رجل من أهل شيراز وهو واقف في المحراب بجامع شيراز وعليه حلة وعلى رأسه تاج مكلل بالجوهر فقال له : ما فعل الله بك؟ قال : غفر لي وأكرمني وتوجني وأدخلني الجنة فقال له : بماذا؟ قال : بكثرة صلاتي على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رواها النميري وكذا ابن بشكوال في القربة وفي ترجمة جماهر من كتاب الصلة له أيضا (القول البديع ص259)

It is reported regarding Abul ‘Abbaas, Ahmed bin Mansoor, that after he passed away, a man from the inhabitants of Sheeraaz saw him in a dream. In the dream, Ahmed bin Mansoor was standing in the mihraab of the Jaami’ Musjid of Sheeraaz, he was adorned in a set of (beautiful) clothing and had a crown on his head which was decorated with precious stones. The man asked him, “How did Allah Ta‘ala deal with you?” He replied, “Allah Ta‘ala forgave my sins, granted me honor, crowned me with the crown of Paradise and blessed me with entry into Jannah.” The man thus asked, “On account of which action did Allah Ta‘ala honor you with this lofty position?” He replied, “On account of the abundant durood that I would recite on Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam).”

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : إن لله سيارة من الملائكة إذا مروا بحلق الذكر قال بعضهم لبعض : اقعدوا فإذا دعا القوم أمنوا على دعائهم فإذا صلوا على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلوا معهم حتى يفرغوا ثم يقول بعضهم لبعض : طوبى لهؤلاء يرجعون مغفورا لهم رواه أبو القاسم التيمي في ترغيبه (القول البديع ص258)

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Indeed Allah Ta‘ala has certain angels which roam throughout the earth. When they pass by the gatherings of zikr, the angels say to one another, ‘Let us sit in this gathering.' Thereafter, when the people of the gathering make du‘aa, the angels say ‘Aameen’ to their du‘aa, and when they recite durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), the angels recite durood with them, until their gathering of zikr terminates. At that point, the angels say to one another, ‘Glad tidings to these people, they are returning with all their (minor) sins forgiven!’”

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمًا اَبَدًا عَلَى حَبِيْبِكَ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ

عن عقبة بن عامر رضي الله عنه قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : إن للمساجد أوتادا جلساؤهم الملائكة إن غابوا فقدوهم وإن مرضوا عادوهم وإن رأوهم رحبوا بهم وإن طلبوا حاجة أعانوهم فإذا جلسوا حفت بهم الملائكة من لدن أقدامهم إلى عنان السماء بأيديهم قراطيس الفضة وأقلام الذهب يكتبون الصلاة على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ويقولون : اذكروا رحمكم الله زيدوا زادكم الله فإذا استفتحوا الذكر فتحت لهم أبواب السماء واستجيب لهم الدعاء وتطلع عليهم الحور العين وأقبل الله عز وجل عليهم بوجهه ما لم يخوضوا في حديث غيره ويتفرقوا فإذا تفرقوا أقام الزوار يلتمسون حلق الذكر رواه أبو القاسم ابن بشكوال بسند ضعيف وذكره صاحب الدر المنظم (القول البديع ص257)

Hazrat ‘Uqbah bin ‘Aamir (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Indeed the Masaajid have ‘pegs’ (i.e. people who remain committed to the musjid engaged in ‘ibaadah, just as pegs are fixed to the ground). The angels remain seated with such people. If they are absent from the musjid, the angels miss them, and if they are sick, the angels visit them, and if the angels see them, they welcome them, and if they have any need, the angels assist them to fulfill their need. When they sit (in the musjid to engage in the remembrance of Allah Ta‘ala, recitation of durood, etc), the angels throng around them from their feet until the sky. These angels have pages of silver and pens of gold in their hands with which they record the durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) (which is recited by these people). The angels say to them, “Continue engaging in the zikr of Allah Ta‘ala, May Allah Ta‘ala have mercy on you! Increase (your zikr and durood), may Allah Ta‘ala increase you (in good)!” When these people commence making the zikr of Allah Ta‘ala, the doors of the sky are opened for them, their du‘aas are answered, the damsels of Jannah peer down at them, and Allah Ta‘ala focuses His special mercy towards them so long as they do not engage in any other activity and they do not depart. When they depart from the musjid, the angels rise and search for the gatherings of zikr.”

يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ وَسَلِّمْ دَائِمًا اَبَدًا عَلَى حَبِيْبِكَ خَيْرِ الْخَلْقِ كُلِّهِمِ

عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن العاص أنه سمع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول : إذا سمعتم المؤذن فقولوا مثل ما يقول ثم صلوا علي فإنه من صلى علي صلاة صلى الله عليه بها عشرا ثم سلوا الله لي الوسيلة فإنها منزلة في الجنة لا تنبغي إلا لعبد من عباد الله وأرجو أن أكون أنا هو فمن سأل لي الوسيلة حلت له الشفاعة (صحيح مسلم #384)

Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin ‘Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) saying, “When you hear the mu’azzin call out the azaan, then repeat the words of the azaan after him and thereafter recite durood upon me (before reciting the du‘aa of azaan). Verily, whoever recites durood upon me once, Allah Ta‘ala sends ten blessings on him. Then (recite the du‘aa after the azaan in which you) supplicate to Allah Ta‘ala to bless me with the honor of ‘waseelah’ which is a lofty position and rank in Jannah which will be exclusively granted to one of Allah Ta‘ala’s special servants. I earnestly hope that I will be granted that position, and whoever supplicates to Allah Ta‘ala to grant me the ‘waseelah’, he will receive my intercession on the Day of Qiyaamah.”
