The delightful news of Rasulullah’s (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) departure and his imminent arrival in Madinah Munawwarah had already reached the inhabitants of Madinah. Out of the eagerness and yearning to see Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), every single individual of Madinah Munawwarah would come and await his arrival at a place called Harrah (on the outskirts of Madinah). They would remain waiting until midday, after which they would return to their homes. This was their daily routine.
