6. The greatest blessing which Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) received from Allah Ta‘ala was the blessing of Mi’raaj. Mi’raaj refers to the miraculous journey in which Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was taken from Makkah Mukarramah to Baytul Maqdis.

Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was taken on this journey with his physical body in a wakeful state. After reaching Baytul Maqdis, Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was commanded to lead all the Ambiyaa and Rasuls (‘alaihimus salaam) in salaah which signified that he was the leader of all the prophets of Allah Ta‘ala.

From there, Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was taken to the seven heavens and beyond, until he was blessed with the vision of Jannah and Jahannum and the honour of seeing Allah Ta‘ala and speaking to Him.

It was during this journey that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) received the gift of the five daily salaah. ^[1]
