Hazrat Jaabir (radhiyallahu anhu) mentions, “Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) never said no to the request of any person.”
The Arch Enemies of Islam – ‘Uqbah bin Abi Mu‘ait
Written by user2‘Uqbah bin Abi Mu‘ait was the close friend of Ubayy bin Khalaf. On one occasion, ‘Uqbah came to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and sat in his company for some time, listening to his message of deen. When Ubayy learnt of this, he immediately came to ‘Uqbah and said, “I have learnt that you sat in the company of Muhammed (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), attentively listening to his words. By Allah! Until you do not go and spit on his face, it is haraam for me to talk to you and even look at your face!”
The Courteous Conduct of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) with the Hypocrites
Written by user2عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: استأذن رجل على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وأنا عنده فقال بئس ابن العشيرة أو أخو العشيرة ثم أذن له فلما دخل ألان له القول فلما خرج قلت يا رسول الله قلت ما قلت ثم ألنت له القول فقال: يا عائشة إن من شر الناس من تركه الناس أو ودعه الناس اتقاء فحشه (الشمائل المحمدية للترمذي، الرقم: 333)
Hazrat Aa’ishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) reports:
On one occasion, while I was present with Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), a certain person sought permission to enter his noble presence. (Before the person entered the mubaarak presence of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)), Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) remarked, “How evil is this person from the people of his tribe”. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) then permitted him to enter. When he entered, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) spoke to him in a polite and courteous manner. After he left, I asked Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), “O Rasul of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! You mentioned to me (prior to his entry) that which you mentioned (regarding his condition), yet you thereafter spoke to him in a polite and courteous manner?” Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) then replied, “O Aa’ishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha)! Indeed the worst person is he whom people avoid or disassociate with in order to save themselves from his evil.”
Ubayy bin Khalaf followed in the footsteps of his brother, Umayyah bin Khalaf, in his hostility towards Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam).
On one occasion, he picked up a decomposed bone and brought it before Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). He then crushed it in his hands, scattered its fragments into the wind and mockingly asked, “Will Allah be able to resurrect this?” Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) replied, “Yes! Allah Ta‘ala will resurrect this bone as well as your bones after they decompose, and He will then hurl you into the fire of Jahannum.”
The Arch Enemies of Islam – Umayyah bin Khalaf Jumahi
Written by user2Umayyah would openly and publicly revile Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). When he would pass by Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), he would mockingly wink his eyes. Due to this behaviour of his, the following surah was revealed:
وَیۡلٌ لِّکُلِّ ہُمَزَۃٍ لُّمَزَۃِۣ ۙ﴿۱﴾ الَّذِیۡ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّ عَدَّدَہٗ ۙ﴿۲﴾ یَحۡسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَہٗۤ اَخۡلَدَہٗ ۚ﴿۳﴾ کَلَّا لَیُنۡۢبَذَنَّ فِی الۡحُطَمَۃِ ۫﴿ۖ۴﴾ وَ مَاۤ اَدۡرٰىکَ مَا الۡحُطَمَۃُ ؕ﴿۵﴾ نَارُ اللّٰہِ الۡمُوۡقَدَۃُ ۙ﴿۶﴾ الَّتِیۡ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَی الۡاَفۡـِٕدَۃِ ؕ﴿۷﴾ اِنَّہَا عَلَیۡہِمۡ مُّؤۡصَدَۃٌ ۙ﴿۸﴾ فِیۡ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَۃٍ ٪﴿۹﴾
Woe unto every backbiter and person who taunts! He who accumulates wealth and repeatedly counts it. Does he think that his wealth will bring him eternity? Never! Verily, he will be hurled into the crushing fire! And do you know what is the crushing fire? It is the kindled fire of Allah Ta‘ala which will leap over the hearts. Indeed, the fire will be sealed over them in extended pillars. (Surah Humazah)
Umayyah bin Khalaf was slain in the Battle of Badr, wither at the hands of Hazrat Khubaib (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) or Hazrat Bilaal (radhiyallahu ‘anhu).

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) Choosing the Easy Path for his Ummah in Deeni and Worldly Matters
Written by user2عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: ما رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم منتصرا من مظلمة ظلمها قط ما لم ينتهك من محارم الله تعالى شيء فإذا انتهك من محارم الله تعالى شيء كان من أشدهم في ذلك غضبا وما خير بين أمرين إلا اختار أيسرهما ما لم يكن مأثما (الشمائل المحمدية للترمذي، الرقم: 332)
Hazrat Aa’ishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) reports, “I never saw Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) ever (become angry and) take revenge for his personal self in regard to any injustice that was done to him, (and he never expressed anger) so long as the limits of Allah Ta‘ala were not broken. However, if any of the limits of Allah Ta‘ala were violated, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would become extremely angry on account of that. Whenever Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was given a choice between two options, he always chose the easier option, provided it (the option he chose) was not a sin.”
Abu Lahab had three sons; ‘Utbah, Mu‘attib and ‘Utaibah. The first two embraced Islam at the conquest of Makkah Mukarramah.
As for ‘Utaibah, who had divorced the daughter of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) at the command of his father and was also rude and disrespectful to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), he died on account of the curse of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam).
The Noble Akhlaaq of Rasulullah in Regard to the Treatment of Women and Slaves

Hazrat Aa’ishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) mentioned that apart from Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) fighting in the path of Allah Ta‘ala, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) never ever hit anything with his blessed hand (whether human or animal, to cause it pain). And Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) never (ever) hit a servant (a slave serving him or a free person) nor a woman.
Commentary:
In this Hadith, Hazrat Aa’ishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) explained the mubaarak and noble character of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) when dealing with the entire creation, whether human beings or animals.
She mentioned that apart from jihaad, which was the right of Allah Ta‘ala, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) never caused pain to any creation for his personal self. Even if pain was caused to him, he forgave the person who caused him pain and overlooked his ill treatment. In fact, after forgiving those who inflicted pain upon him, he never ever reminded them of their ill treatment, but showed them greater love, compassion and kindness.
Seven days after the Battle of Badr, a septic boil appeared on Abu Lahab’s body and began spreading, and this became the cause of his death.
Out of the fear that the infection should not spread to them, his family members refused to even touch his corpse. In this manner, his corpse remained where it was for three days decomposing.
Whenever the Quraish would refer to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) as Muzammam (the despised one) and speak ill of him, then Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would say, “O people! Do you not find it strange how Allah Ta‘ala has averted their insults from me? They insult me by referring to me as Muzammam, whereas I am actually Muhammed (the praised one).”

The wife of Abu Lahab, Ummu Jameel bintu Harb, the sister of Hazrat Abu Sufyaan bin Harb (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), also harboured intense enmity and hostility for Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). During the night, she would scatter thorns on the path of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam).
When Ummu Jameel learnt that a surah of the Qur’aan Majeed was revealed regarding her and her husband, she picked up a stone and rushed to strike Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). At that moment, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was with Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) in Musjid-ul-Haraam.
The Manner in which Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) Treated those who were Harsh towards him

Hazrat Aa’ishah (radhiyallahu ‘anha) reports, “By nature, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was never obscene and indecent, and nor did he ever intentionally display obscenity and indecency (before any class of people), nor would Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) raise his voice while speaking or shout while in the market place. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) would not retaliate by treating a person badly for the wrong which he had done to him, but instead he would forgive and pardon the person for what he had done.”
Abu Lahab was his title. His name was ‘Abdul ‘Uzza bin ‘Abdil Muttalib. He was the uncle of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) (the brother of Rasulullah’s (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) father).
In the very beginning, when Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) assembled the Quraish to preach the message of Islam to them, Abu Lahab was the first person to reject him saying:
تبا لك سائر اليوم ألهذا جمعتنا
May Allah destroy you! Did you assemble us here for this?
It was after this incident that Surah Lahab was revealed.
Since Abu Lahab was extremely wealthy, whenever he was warned about the punishment of Allah Ta‘ala, he would say, “If my nephew is true in his message, I will save myself from the punishment of the Day of Qiyaamah by paying money and giving my children in ransom.” The verse “Neither his wealth nor his earnings will avail him from the punishment” is referring to this statement of Abu Lahab.

The Method of Correcting People Adopted by Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)

Hazrat Anas bin Maalik (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that on one occasion, a person wearing clothing which had a trace of yellow dye (from saffron or safflower) on it was seated in the mubaarak gathering of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). It was the (noble) habit of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) that he would not directly address a person (and correct him) in regard to something he disapproved of. (Therefore, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) remained silent.) Thereafter, when the person stood and left the gathering, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) addressed those who were present in the gathering saying, “It would have been better if you had told him to leave using this yellow dye (i.e. you should correct him and advise him to stop using this dye as yellow dye is only permissible for women).”
