Allah Ta‘ala praised another group saying,
‘Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah’s Messenger (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety, and for them is forgiveness and a great reward.’
And Allah Ta‘ala disliked the action of another group saying,
‘Indeed those who call out to you from outside the inner apartments, most of them lack understanding.’”
Imaam Maalik (rahimahullah) thereafter further explained and said, “The respect and etiquette that has to be shown to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) after his demise is the same as the respect and etiquette that had to be shown to him in his blessed lifetime.” When Abu Ja’far Mansoor heard this, he immediately accepted the correction of Imaam Maalik (rahimahullah).
