عن ثوير هو ابن أبي فاختة عن أبيه قال أخذ علي بيدي قال انطلق بنا إلى الحسن نعوده فوجدنا عنده أبا موسى فقال علي أعائدا جئت يا أبا موسى أم زائرا فقال لا بل عائدا فقال علي سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول ما من مسلم يعود مسلما غدوة إلا صلى عليه سبعون ألف ملك حتى يمسي وإن عاده عشية إلا صلى عليه سبعون ألف ملك حتى يصبح وكان له خريف في الجنة (سنن الترمذي #969)

Thuwair, the son of Abu Faakhtah (rahimahullah), narrates that Abu Faakhtah (rahimahullah) said, “Hazrat ‘Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) once held my hand and said, ‘Come with us to Hasan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) so that we may visit him in his illness.’ Then (on arriving at Hasan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu),) we found Hazrat Abu Musa (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) present with him. (Seeing him,) Hazrat ‘Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) asked, ‘O Abu Musa (radhiyallahu ‘anhu)! (What is your intention for coming to visit him?) Have you come to visit him on account of his sickness, or are you visiting him (for some other purpose)?’ Hazrat Abu Musa (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) replied, ‘No (i.e. I am not visiting him for some other purpose). Rather, I am visiting him on account of his sickness.’ Hazrat ‘Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) thus said, ‘I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) mentioning, ‘There is no Muslim who visits another Muslim who is sick, in the morning, except that seventy thousand Angels make du‘aa for him until the evening. And he does not visit a sick Muslim in the evening, except that seventy thousand Angels make du‘aa for him until the morning, and he will have a garden in Jannah.’’”

عن معاذ بن جبل أن نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إن الشيطان ذئب الإنسان كذئب الغنم يأخذ الشاة القاصية والناحية فإياكم والشعاب وعليكم بالجماعة والعامة والمسجد (مجمع الزوائد #2033)

Hazrat Mu‘aaz bin Jabal (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Indeed Shaitaan is the wolf of humans, like the wolf of goats that seizes the goat which is distant and in a corner. Hence, you should refrain from (breaking up into) groups, and you should hold fast to the Jamaat (i.e. the congregational prayer in the musjid), the Muslim majority and the Musjid.”

عن زيد بن ثابت رضي الله عنه قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول نضر الله امرأ سمع منا حديثا فحفظه حتى يبلغه فرب حامل فقه إلى من هو أفقه منه ورب حامل فقه ليس بفقيه (سنن أبي داود #3662)

Hazrat Zaid bin Thaabit (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports, “I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) saying, ‘May Allah Ta‘ala bless that person with beauty who hears a Hadith from us, and thereafter memorizes it until he conveys it (to others). There are many who carry the knowledge of Fiqh (i.e. they are in possession of Ahaadith which relate to laws of Shari‘ah) and convey it to those who are more understanding than them, and there are many who carry the knowledge of Fiqh yet do not possess the understanding of it.”

عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا حسد إلا في اثنتين رجل آتاه الله مالا فسلط على هلكته في الحق ورجل آتاه الله الحكمة فهو يقضي بها ويعلمها (صحيح بخاري #73، صحيح مسلم #816)

Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin Mas‘ood (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Envy is not permissible except in regard to two types of people. The first person is the one whom Allah Ta‘ala has blessed with wealth and Allah Ta‘ala blesses him with the ability to spend it in the correct manner. The second person is the one whom Allah Ta‘ala has blessed with Deeni knowledge, and he correctly practices upon it and imparts it to others.”
