Hadeeth (189)
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أكمل المؤمنين إيمانا أحسنهم خلقا وخيركم خيركم لنسائهم (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 1162)
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The believers who possess the most perfect Imaan are those who display the best character and the best among you are those who treat their wives in the best manner.”
عن أنس بن مالك أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: من أحب أن يبسط له في رزقه وينسأ له في أثره فليصل رحمه (صحيح البخاري الرقم: 5986)
Hazrat Anas bin Maalik (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The one who wishes that his sustenance should be increased for him, and that his life should be lengthened for him, then he should maintain family ties.”
Note: The meaning of one’s life being lengthened is that Allah Ta‘ala will bless one with the tawfeeq of carrying out good actions in his lifetime which will continue to earn him great rewards for a long time after his demise.
عن سلمة بن عبيد الله بن محصن الخطمي عن أبيه وكانت له صحبة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من أصبح منكم آمنا في سربه معافى في جسده عنده قوت يومه فكأنما حيزت له الدنيا (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 2346)
Hazrat ‘Ubaidillah bin Mihsan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever among you commences the morning in the condition that he is safe and secure in his life (i.e. his life is not in danger), enjoying good and sound health in his body, while possessing the food he requires for the day, then it is as though the world has been gathered for him (i.e. the goodness of the entire world is contained in these three favors).”
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من سره أن يستجيب الله له عند الشدائد والكرب فليكثر الدعاء في الرخاء (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 3382)
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The one who wishes that Allah Ta‘ala will answer his du‘aa in times of difficulty and worry, then he should engage in abundant du‘aa in times of ease and comfort (i.e. one should not only turn to Allah Ta‘ala in du‘aa at times of hardship, rather one should make du‘aa to Allah Ta‘ala at the time of ease and comfort as well).”
عن شداد بن أوس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: الكيس من دان نفسه وعمل لما بعد الموت والعاجز من أتبع نفسه هواها وتمنى على الله (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 2459)
Hazrat Shaddaad bin Aws (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The prudent (and intelligent) person is the one who takes stock of his nafs and carries out righteous actions that will benefit him after his death, and the unwise (and foolish) person is the one who allows his nafs to follow its desires (and carries out actions against the commands of Allah Ta‘ala) while having hope upon Allah Ta‘ala (to forgive him).”
عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بعث معاذا إلى اليمن فقال: اتق دعوة المظلوم فإنها ليس بينها وبين الله حجاب (صحيح البخاري الرقم: 2448)
Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that when Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) dispatched Hazrat Mu‘aaz bin Jabal (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) to Yemen, he said to him, “Beware of the du‘aa of the oppressed person, for indeed there is no barrier between the du‘aa of the oppressed and Allah Ta‘ala (i.e. Allah Ta‘ala accepts the du‘aa of the oppressed person very swiftly).”
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا خطب إليكم من ترضون دينه وخلقه فزوجوه إلا تفعلوا تكن فتنة في الأرض وفساد عريض (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 1084)
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “If a boy whose Deen and character are pleasing to you proposes for your daughter, then you should get your daughter married to him. If you do not do so, and delay in getting her married, widespread corruption will occur in the world.”
عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: خصلتان من كانتا فيه كتبه الله شاكرا صابرا ومن لم تكونا فيه لم يكتبه الله شاكرا ولا صابرا من نظر في دينه إلى من هو فوقه فاقتدى به ونظر في دنياه إلى من هو دونه فحمد الله على ما فضله به عليه كتبه الله شاكرا وصابرا ومن نظر في دينه إلى من هو دونه ونظر في دنياه إلى من هو فوقه فأسف على ما فاته منه لم يكتبه الله شاكرا ولا صابرا (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 2512)
Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports, “I heard Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) mention the following:
Two qualities are such that if one possesses them, Allah Ta‘ala will record him as a shaakir (one who is grateful) and a saabir (one who is patienct), and the one who does not possess these two qualities, Allah Ta‘ala will not record him as a shaakir nor a saabir. The person who looks at those who are higher than him in his deen (i.e. deeni progress) and follows them, and he looks at those who are lower than him in his worldly matters (i.e. worldly progress) and praises Allah Ta‘ala for the favors He (Allah Ta‘ala) has blessed him with over those people, then Allah Ta‘ala will record him as a shaakir and a saabir. And the person who looks at those who are lower than him in his deen (deeni progress), and he looks at those who are higher than him in his dunya (worldly progress), and feels grieved over those things of the dunya that he does not possess, then Allah Ta‘ala will not record him as a shaakir nor a saabir.”
عن كعب بن عياض قال: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: إن لكل أمة فتنة وفتنة أمتي المال (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 2336)
Hazrat Ka’b bin ‘Iyaadh (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports, “I heard Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) mention, ‘For every ummah there is a great trial, and the great trial of my ummah is the trial of wealth.’”
عن جابر قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: بين العبد وبين الكفر ترك الصلاة (سنن الترمذي الرقم: 2620)
Hazrat Jaabir (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Neglecting salaah is (the dividing factor) between the servant and his getting involved in kufr (i.e. neglecting salaah is the bridge that will lead one to eventually falling into kufr).”

Hazrat Anas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Every Nabi was blessed by Allah Ta‘ala with a special du‘aa which was guaranteed acceptance. Every Nabi made his du‘aa in this world for his ummah, and I wish to reserve my special du‘aa for the Day of Qiyaamah so that I may intercede to Allah Ta‘ala on behalf of my entire ummah.”

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever gives respite to a poor person or waives his debt, Allah Ta‘ala will grant him shade on the Day of Qiyaamah in the shade of His Arsh, on the day when there will be no shade besides His shade.”
عن أنس بن مالك قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا تزوج العبد فقد كمل نصف الدين فليتق الله في النصف الباقي (شعب الإيمان رقم: 5100)
Hazrat Anas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “When a person performs nikaah, he has perfected half his Deen, so (in order to perfect the other half,) he should fear Allah Ta‘ala in the other half.”
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من تطهر في بيته ثم مشى إلى بيت من بيوت الله ليقضي فريضة من فرائض الله كانت خطوتاه إحداهما تحط خطيئة والأخرى ترفع درجة (صحيح مسلم الرقم: 666)
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Hazrat Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever makes wudhu at home and thereafter walks towards a house from the houses of Allah Ta‘ala in order to complete the obligation of Allah Ta‘ala, then for one step he takes, a sin is forgiven, and for the next step he takes, he will be elevated one rank higher.”
