عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من قرأ القرآن وحمد الرب وصلى على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ويستغفر ربه فقد طلب الخير مكانه (شعب الإيمان رقم 2084)

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “The one who recites the Qur’aan Majeed, praises Allah Ta‘ala, recites durood upon Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) and seeks forgiveness from his Rabb has sought goodness from the true source of goodness (i.e. he has carried out actions which are a source of goodness for him).”
