After assembling in Daar-un-Nadwah and discussing their predicament in regard to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), the chieftains of the Quraish eventually decided that the solution was to assassinate Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam). On arriving at this decision, they concluded their meeting and dispersed.

This assembly had barely dispersed when Hazrat Jibreel (‘alaihis salaam) appeared before Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) with divine revelation, informing him of the evil plot of the Quraish in the following verses:

“And remember (O Muhammed [sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam]) when the disbelievers were conspiring against you, either to incarcerate you, kill you or banish you (from Makkah Mukarramah). They were plotting, and Allah was plotting, but Allah Ta‘ala is the best of plotters.” (Surah Anfaal v. 30)

Hazrat Jibreel (‘alaihis salaam) informed Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) of the entire incident of the Quraish plotting against him, and conveyed to him permission from the side of Allah Ta‘ala to perform hijrah to Madinah Munawwarah. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) was also advised to recite the following du‘aa:

“And say, “My Rabb! Let my entry (into Madinah Munawwarah) be good, and (similarly) let my exit (from Makkah Mukarramah) be good, and grant me, from Your side, a dominion and assistance. (Surah Israa v. 80)
