21. Wash the right limbs before the left limbs.
عن عائشة رضى الله عنها قالت كان النبى صلى الله عليه و سلم يعجبه التيمن فى تنعله و ترجله و طهوره وفى شأنه كله (بخارى 1/29)
Hadhrat Aaisha (Radiallahu Anha) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) loved starting from the right when wearing his shoes, combing his hair, performing wudhu and when carrying out all other works.
22. Rub each limb thoroughly to ensure that water reaches each part of the limb. [15]
23. All the limbs should be washed one after the other without any delay in between. [16]
24. Do not speak of worldly affairs while making wudhu. [17]
25. Do not waste water while making wudhu.
Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Amr (Radiallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) passed by Hadhrat Sa’d(Radiallahu Anhu) whilst he was performing wudhu. Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) asked him: I notice water being wasted while you perform wudhu. He replied: Is there Israaf (wastage) in wudhu? Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) replied: Yes, even if you are performing wudhu at the bank of a flowing river (then too, be mindful of not wasting water.)
