The Islam of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu 'anhu) – Part Two

As soon as Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) embraced Islam, he began to invite people towards Deen. Whenever he met his close friends or they met him, he would invite them towards Islam.

As a result of his inviting to Islam, the following personalities from his friends entered the fold of Islam:

Hazrat ‘Uthmaan bin ‘Affaan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Zubair bin ‘Awwaam (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Abdur Rahmaan bin ‘Auf (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Talhah bin ‘Ubaidillah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and Hazrat Sa’d bin Abi Waqqaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu).

These eminent people of the Quraish and noble members of their respective families embrace Islam at the hands of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu). He thereafter brought all of them to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) where they reaffirmed their Imaan. They then joined Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) for salaah.

 Thereafter, the following personalities were honored with Islam:

Hazrat Abu ‘Ubaidah, ‘Aamir bin Jarraah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Arqam bin Abil Arqam (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), the three sons of Maz‘oon bin Habeeb; Hazrat ‘Uthmaan bin Maz‘oon (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Qudaamah bin Maz‘oon (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin Maz‘oon (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Ubaidah bin Haarith (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Sa‘eed bin Zaid bin ‘Amr bin Nufail (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and his wife, Hazrat Faatimah bint Khattaab (radhiyallahu ‘anha) (the sister of Hazrat ‘Umar bin Khattaab (radhiyallahu ‘anhu)), Hazrat Asmaa bint Abi Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anha), Hazrat Khabbaab bin Aratt (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Umair bin Abi Waqqaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) (the brother of Hazrat Sa’d bin Abi Waqqaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu)), Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin Mas‘ood (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Mas‘ood bin Qaari (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Saleet bin ‘Amr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Ayyaash bin Abi Rabee‘ah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and his wife, Hazrat Asmaa bint Salaamah (radhiyallahu ‘anha), Hazrat Khunais bin Huzaafah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Aamir bin Rabee‘ah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin Jahsh (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and his brother, Hazrat Abu Ahmed bin Jahsh (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Ja’far bin Abi Taalib (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and his wife, Hazrat Asmaa bint ‘Umais (radhiyallahu ‘anha), Hazrat Haatib bin Haarith (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), his wife, Hazrat Faatimah bint Mujallal (radhiyallahu ‘anha) and his brother, Hazrat Khattaab bin Haarith (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) with his wife, Hazrat Fakeehah bint Yasaar (radhiyallahu ‘anha), Hazrat Ma’mar bin Haarith (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Saa’ib bin ‘Uthmaan bin Maz‘oon (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Muttalib bin Azhar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) with his wife, Hazrat Ramlah bint Abi ‘Auf (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Nu‘aim bin ‘Abdillah An-Nahhaam (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Aamir bin Fuhairah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), the emancipated slave of Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Khaalid bin Sa‘eed bin ‘Aas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and his wife, Hazrat Umaniyyah bint Khalaf (radhiyallahu ‘anha), Hazrat Haatib bin ‘Amr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Abu Huzaifah bin ‘Utbah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat Waaqid bin ‘Abdillah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), the four sons of Bukair bin ‘Abdyaaleel; Hazrat Khaalid (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Aamir (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Aaqil (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and Hazrat Iyaas (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), Hazrat ‘Ammaar bin Yaasir (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) and Hazrat Suhaib bin Sinaan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu), the freed slave of Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin Jad‘aan (radhiyallahu ‘anhu).
