عن محمود بن لبيد: أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: اثنتان يكرههما ابن آدم الموت والموت خير من الفتنة ويكره قلة المال وقلة المال أقل للحساب (مجمع الزوائد، الرقم: 17879)

Hazrat Mahmood bin Labeed (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “There are two things which the son of Nabi Aadam (‘alaihis salaam) (i.e. a person) dislikes. One is death, whereas death is better (for a person) than falling into fitnah. The second is possessing less wealth (of the world), whereas possessing less wealth (of the world) will be a means of less accountability in the Hereafter.”
