The meeting of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) with Nabi Haroon (‘alaihis salaam) was an indication that just as Saamiri and the calf-worshippers did not obey the command of Nabi Haroon (‘alaihis salaam), due to which they were thereafter executed for this apostasy, in the same way, in the Battle of Badr, seventy leaders of the Quraish were slain and another seventy were taken as prisoners. Also, some members of the ‘Uraynah tribe were executed due to their apostasy.
