عن معاذ بن جبل أن نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إن الشيطان ذئب الإنسان كذئب الغنم يأخذ الشاة القاصية والناحية فإياكم والشعاب وعليكم بالجماعة والعامة والمسجد (مجمع الزوائد #2033)

Hazrat Mu‘aaz bin Jabal (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, “Indeed Shaitaan is the wolf of humans, like the wolf of goats that seizes the goat which is distant and in a corner. Hence, you should refrain from (breaking up into) groups, and you should hold fast to the Jamaat (i.e. the congregational prayer in the musjid), the Muslim majority and the Musjid.”
