How to call out the azaan:

If one is calling out the azaan of Fajr, then one would recite the following twice after saying (Hayya ‘alal Falaah):

Salaah is better than sleep.

Hazrat Abu Mahdhoorah (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that on one occasion, he said to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam): “O Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), teach me the sunnah method of calling out the azaan.” …. Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “If it is the azaan of Fajr, then add the words الصلاة خير من النوم (assalaatu khairum minan naum) twice (after حي على الفلاح hayya alal falaah).”
