Hazrat Sheikh Abul Khair Al-Aqta’ (rahimahullah) said:

Once, on a visit to Madinah Munawwarah, I suffered such hunger that for five days, I had absolutely nothing to eat. I went to the blessed grave of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), and after making salaam to him and his two companions, Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhuma), I said to Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam), “O Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam)! It is my wish to be your guest tonight!

I thereafter went to the mimbar and fell asleep behind it. While asleep, I saw Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) in a dream, seated with Hazrat Abu Bakr (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) on his right, Hazrat Umar (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) on his left and Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) in front of him. Hazrat Ali (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) came to me and said, “Rise up, Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) is coming.”

I hastily rose and kissed Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam) between his eyes. He then gave me some bread, of which I ate half and kept the other half.

When I awoke from the dream, I discovered that I still had the other half of the bread in my hand.
