عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال إن هذا القرآن شافع مشفع من اتبعه قاده إلى الجنة ومن تركه أو أعرض عنه (أو كلمة نحوها) زخ في قفاه إلى النار رواه البزار هكذا موقوفا على ابن مسعود ورواه مرفوعا من حديث جابر وإسناد المرفوع جيد (الترغيب والترهيب #69)

It is reported that Hazrat ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ood (radhiyallahu ‘anhu) said, “Indeed this Qur’aan Majeed is an intercessor whose intercession will be accepted by Allah Ta‘ala (i.e. it will intercede on the day of Qiyaamah for the one who practices upon it). Whoever follows it, it will take him to Jannah, and whoever abandons it, he will be pushed from behind and cast into Jahannum.”
